FEDERAL AID

Financial aid is available to students who qualify. The NFI participates in the Federal Pell Grant and Federal Direct Loan programs and accepts the GI Bill®
All eligible students are encouraged to complete the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid). The FAFSA determines a student’s eligibility for the Pell grant, direct loans, and other student aid. The staff at NFI is happy to assist you with completing the FAFSA and other financial aid documents. Please contact us 877-627-3456, to schedule a financial aid appointment. Federal Aid Application Process

  • Complete the FAFSA online: https://fafsa.ed.gov
  • If you are under the age of 24, you need to provide parent information on your FAFSA, unless one of the following conditions applies:
    • You have a bachelor’s degree
    • You are married
    • You support a child or other dependents
    • You are a veteran of the United States Armed Forces
    • You are an orphan or ward of the court
    • You are in legal guardianship or are an emancipated minor
    • You are self-supporting and at risk of being a homeless youth or are a homeless youth
  • Include NFI’s school code to the list of schools to which you want to send your FAFSA. NFI’s school code is 042461.
  • NFI will send you an Award Letter explaining the types and amounts of aid for which you are eligible. You must have a current Application for Admission on file to receive an Award Letter.

Federal Student Aid Amounts

The Cinema Production Program is a 9-month, clock-hour program. The following amounts are the maximum amounts a student may receive in Federal Student Aid for the duration of the program.
